Cookie Decorating Party & Gift Exchange

We hosted our first Cookie Decorating Party & Gift Exchange on Saturday afternoon! It was a blast for everyone. The girls both had some of their friends come, and they brought a $5 gift to exchange at the end of the party. :)
We had lots of sugar cookies in different cutout shapes...stars, bells, trees, snowmen, stockings and candy canes.
The girls worked so hard on making their cookies pretty. It was amazing to see them so focused on the details when they were squeezing the icing, and adding the sprinkles.
After the cookies were done, we made a craft. It was a foam snowman, and we added a ribbon to it so it could hang on the Christmas Tree.
Each girl got to choose a gift as we drew names, and they all chose a gift and patiently waited until the last gift was chosen, and they all opened them.
They all took home a container of their very own full of the cookies they decorated, as well as a small gift bag with some hot chocolate and a plastic reusable Christmas straw.
It was a lot of fun, and we have decided to make this event an annual tradition for us!
I hope my girls will continue this tradition when they are grown and have children of their own. :)
